I need more consistency here lol.

Ok so it been a long time (again) and i apologize but I hard to make the transition into school life which has been pretty difficult seeing that I dont have one textbook and we're in week...what 5 now? That being said I still managed a 88 on my Physcology test haha, talk aobut extreme note-taking.

I got to cover my first ASU football game and the expirience was great. From the catered food to the press box view it was all somewhat surreal. I took alot of pics to show but thanks to the wonderful Iphone they have since been erased I have another game in about two weeks ill make sure to post pictures then.

Photobucket

Last but not least the first issue of Scottsdale Chronicle came out today, so go HERE to read my work so far. Unfortunately I dont have any opinion pieces to show but there are still some good stories there so go see and tell me what you think. By the way the football story is mine Max the online editior is trying to take crdit for my work haha jk Max it was probably just a mistake.

Life is...good

So i just recently got confirmation that i will be able to cover the Arizona State football games this year which is HUGE for me and I'm blessed to have the opportunity.

On another i took a family outing to the Diamondbacks game last night here are some pics from my great seats. Oh yeah Dbacks lost 4-3 lol.

Egg on my face.

Ok so as much as I hate to admit it, I was wrong, it seems as if Brett Favre will stay retired. Or will he? Whose to say he wont give the Vikings a call tonight and tell them to get that #4 jersey ready, It's not like the guy hasn't changed his mind before. But as for now the joke's on me thanks Brett.

Oh yeah, Mike Vick back in the NFL, or at least he's allowed to play. He's got to find a team first. After spending 23 months in jail and 2 years out of the league Vick has a long road ahead of him before he touches the field again.

I just wanna be successful.

I talked a fellow employee of mine today, a gentleman in his mid 60's. He has worked at Officemax for 20 years... I began to think, " wow he has spent over a quarter of his lifetime working in this store." Everyone knows the saying "you only live once" and i began to think what if that was me? Now I can not judge the man, I'm sure that he is more than happy and content with his life, but it made me realize that I...want more than that for my lifetime.

So as i slowly made my way through another day at the Max, i began to ask myself. How? How will I be able to look back on my lifetime and smile with satisfaction? Theoretically speaking, anyone determined enough can go to school and get a degree, but I wanted to know how I can go beyond that. I believe i found away to go beyond just obtaining that piece of paper. A simple quote that read "Take pride in everything you do." Meaning no matter what it is you do, you should do it to the best of your ability. If you flip burgers, then you should aim to be the best burger flipper the world has ever seen. If you do that then, that extra determination will push you farther than any degree ever could.

I have big, and i mean big dreams for myself. I don't wanna be famous for the money and the luxury, I just want to be remembered as a person who gave his all at what he did. A person who made a difference...

Goodnight.

The light at the end of the tunnel!

Ok so I am extremely excited for the end of July. Why you might ask? Because that is the beginning of NFL training camps! LOL I mean I love baseball as much as the next guy, but when June 14th marked the end of the NBA season, I suddenly came to a chilling conclusion...that i would be stuck with nothing but baseball highlights on sportscenter every night. I mean sure there's soccer but last time I checked i still did live in America (sorry soccer fans)...But now football is back! I know I know I have months of training camps and preseason football to live through first, but football is football and I'm just glad its back!

Oh and by the way YES Lebron James got dunked ok, we get it. I you see the video you cant even understand what is happening the quality is so bad, Nike/ESPN really made this a bigger deal than it had to be.
